project 2 |
Architectural rendering, or architectural illustration, is the art of creating two-dimensional images or animations showing the attributes of a proposed architectural design. So, for this project we had required to transfer the image of Surau HBP into 7 art work on A4 size (portrait) cartridge paper using different rendering technique and medium:
- hatching technique
- stippling technique
- blending technique
- monochromatic colour technique
- warm colour technique
- cool colour technique
- watercolour or pencil colour technique
For this project, I have learned many things about rendering techniques in architecture in order to help me to more understand the building texture, materials and shadows .Furthermore, I also had introduced about colouring in architecture presentation and how colour can help in conveying the design ideas and architectural elements.
My experience in this project is I took a long time to finish the stippling technique cause this technique involves placing individual dots across a surface in a pattern that will be identifiable. Even though , it took a long time but the final result was very good.
Next, monochromatic technique involved monochromatic colour which are
derived from a single base hue and extended using its shades, tones and tints. For this technique, I am having trouble buying a pen marker because it has its own code and I have bought it wrong. Finally I borrow from my friend. For those technique, I think I can catch up even the progress are slow. Last but not least, thank that finally I can learn all the architectural rendering for semester 1.
